Troy Male • Adult • Pit Bull Terrier • Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Our sweet Troy is looking for the most special family to call his own. Troy is an 8 year old pitbull terrier. He is the perfect size at around 55-60lbs with the most gorgeous chocolate brown coat. This boy loves to be loved. He enjoys toys, bones, lounging outside with his foster family, and being a couch potato cuddling up to his foster mom. Troy is in need of a comfortable, quiet home for the remainder of his life. He does suffer from right sided congestive heart failure. He is currently on a stable, medication management plan that is working! We are uncertain the amount of time Troy has left in this world, and we vowed to make sure it will be the best! Troy can share his home with other mellow, friendly dogs, and would love to share his home with no small children at this time, only because he is unaware of his size and strength at times. He is very, very friendly with all people. Troys perfect family would be one with experience, or willing to learn and manage a sweet pittie with a heart condition. Someone who will keep up on his medication routine daily, and has the patience to deal with the side effects that come along with it. He is the sweetest, most deserving boy, who would love nothing more than a peaceful, loving home for the rest of his life, which hopefully will be for a substantial amount of time. Troys foster mom loves him so much and would be happy to talk to anyone interested and give you details about Troy. His adoption fee is generously sponsored by his foster family. If you have the time and the room in your heart to give this boy the best home possible, please fill out an adoption application for sweet, sweet Troy.
If you've already applied and would like to transfer your application to Troy, please submit an Adoption Application Transfer Request.
Not quite ready to adopt? Help Troy find his forever home by sharing his story!
All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. Please note that our pets come from shelters, so we CANNOT guarantee age, breed, mix of breeds, or adult size.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home.
An application does not obligate you to adopt, and can be transferred to any pet. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call within 7-10 days. If you would like to transfer your application to a different pet, please submit an adoption application transfer request. You will need the application number and email address from your original application.
We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a shelter location where pets can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a pet in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
